The Kitzhof Inn was built in 1958. The original owner named it Kitzhof, Austrian for "Small Goats House" and built it in a typical Alpine style after spending some time in the Alps. Simon and Alison are the fourth owners and took over in September 2005.
Many additions have been made over the years but the original style of the building has been kept. The cedar log alpine style is unique to any other Inn in the area.
You get to the front garden and fire pit by crossing the pedestrian covered bridge (added in 2006) which crosses the brook. The brook runs into a large pond. Renovations were made to the pool area in 2007.
The large car park provides space for 30 cars, numerous motorbikes and 2-3 coaches (not all at the same time).
The Kitzhof has 24 bedrooms all with own bathroom and cable TV. The bedrooms on the ground floor run off the Lounge area, which is typical of Alpine Lodges. The upstairs rooms similarly branch off the dining room which is also styled in the Austrian fashion.

Your Hosts

Simon and Alison are originally from London, England. They bring warm European hospitality and style to the Kitzhof.

Simon, has had a varied career collecting many skills and talents along the way, all of which culminate in running the Inn.
Years of cooking ensure that your breakfast is wholesome and hearty.
He is also profficient in Handyman and Building skills as well as web design and photography.
Simon enjoys Golf, Skiing, Photography and Web Site construction.

Alison is also a multi talented professional, bringing 20 years of running her own business in London to the Kitzhof.
She sings in the local Acapella Group and Church Choir and enjoys the Book Club and Yoga.

From time to time you will see Richard, Alison's Son and Simon's step son, who lives and works in London and is a keen Snowboarder, Kart Racer and F1 nut.

Millie is our resident boxer Dog. She is chief entertainments officer and general people greeter. She normally gets more attention than anyone else at the Kitzhof.

Whats New

Congratulations to Holly and Dave who were engaged on October 10 2007at the Kitzhof Inn.
We were really thrilled that Dave decided to hold this very important event here.
We prepared a special evening meal to heighten the romantic feel. Everything went well and Holly agreed to marry Dave.
